ASUS and MSI is battling for the attention of the consumers and after MSI followed ASUS on to the netbook market it is time for MSI to lead ASUS. ASUS is said to be planning three new series of notebooks that much like MSI’s X-Slim series focuses on slim designs. Most likely ASUS will use Intel’s coming CULV platform sporting decent performance, better than Intel Atom, at low power consumption. Perfect for small notebooks.

At Computex in June, ASUS will present its UX, U and Edge series together with its new netbook, Eee PC 1008HA Shell, which has also been slimmed down.

ASUS new slim notebooks;

  • ASUS UX – High-end
  • ASUS U – mid-range
  • ASUS Edge – low-end

Other than that the details are sparse, but we wouldn’t be surprised if additional information appears before Computex in early June.
