Apple is according to sources in the movie industry working on swaying the industry to support iPod in a better way. Apple has namely suggested adding an iPod version of the movies on the Blu-ray discs when the new Blu-ray movies arrive. There is no doubt that the space on a Blu-ray disc is more than enough and would Apple be able to sway the industry it would be an incredible boost for the new video iPod. Blu-ray movie will not be launched for another couple of months while Apple’s video iPod with a larger display is not expected to arrive for another couple of months. Therefore these iPod movies would most likely be suited to work with today’s iPod players sporting video, if we consider the resolution and quality.
So far this is is just a rumor so this hould of course be considered with a pinch of salt, but as long as it doesn’t add to the already high price, it feels like an interesting concept.
