Apple MacBook Pro uses Intel’s x86 architecture and has therefore raised a number of question whether it is possible to use Windows XP with this very appealing machine. Apple’s design is a strong sales arguement even so strong that some people have been thinking of buying the laptop solely because of it. However the new laptop doesn’t use the regular BIOS many of you are used to but a newer form for control program; EFI (Extensible Firmware Interface). EFI was simply developed after that Windows XP was released and it therefore, logically, doesn’t support it. So to those who have been thinking of getting a MacBook Pro, but doesn’t want to use MacOSX, you simply have to turn to Linux.
