AMD Turion 64 X2 Rev G, also known as Tyler, will be AMDs’ first mobile CPU to use 65nm SOI (Silicon-On-Insulator) technology. The new revision will have DDR2-800 support when it’s released in Q2 next year. It’s specified at 35W TDP and will continue using the same type of performance rating used by earlier Turion 64 X2 models, namely TL-XX. At the same time, AMD will release their Mobile Sempron that will replace the older mobile Semprons and have similar names just as its predecessors. All of these CPU’s will use AMDs’ mobile socket called Socket S1 (638 pin configuration).
