AMD is getting closer to the final launch of the Radeon HD 6000 series and after we offered you what was said to be a picture of the flagship, Cayman XT, the next picture has appeared. This time it is one of the lower-end versions that has made an appearance; Radeon HD 6300 based on the AMD Caicos GPU.

The graphics card seen on the picture sports a low-profile design and a passive cooler covering the graphics card and the majority of the circuit board. According to the source the card will launch as Radeon HD 6300 and use a 64-bit memory interface together with 1GB DDR3 memory buffer.

The Caicos circuits is, like the rest of the Northern Islands family, made at 40nm and supports DirectX 11 and Shader Model 5.0. The card comes with DVI and HDMI outputs and an updated video processor (UVD3), something the other cards will also have.

Exactly when AMD will launch the Radeon HD 6000 family familj hasn’t been decided, but everything seems to point to late October or early November.
