AC Ryan has trumped the competent PlayonHD media player with a new powerful player called AC Ryan Fluxx that will be the first sporting Intel’s Atom CE4150 processor and an exciting remote.

AC Ryan Fluxx will launch at CES 2011, but the company has already revealed interesting details on the new player. Intel’s CE4150 CPU is a relatively powerful solution with 1.2 GHz clock frequency, 400 MHz GPU and 1GB DDR3 memory will be enough to handle most media files.

Fluxx comes with 2GB integrated flash storage, which can be expanded with 2TB through the 3.5″ drive slot. The player comes with a load of functions, including memory card reader and USB-port on the front. On the back we find video outputs, mainly HDMI, component and composite. But also additional USB ports and a Gigabit Ethernet port. Amonth the support file formats most popular codecs are represented and there will be no problem streaming high definition audio formats over HDMI.

Through an external USB network card wthere is support for 802.11n WiFi and the networking is supposed to be the real trump. The company promises loads of online based streaming services and a browser with flash support that can be controlled through a QWERTY remote. Exactly how the remote looks we don’t know, but with a complete key setup it should be convenient for searches and general typing.

The AC Ryan FLUXX enables people to use one device to play their content from a variety of sources – local music, photos and videos from personal libraries, the entire web, video on demand, flash games and many apps as well.

It’s uncertain when AC Ryan Fluxx will find its way into stores, but we hopes it will be soon. More informationon the player can be found at AC Ryan’s website and after CES we hope for more details and price and availability.
