KDE4 is as you perhaps know under development and the first snapshot has already been released. KDE is one of the most popular desktop environments for Linux and that there are some great expectations is hardly an understatement. At Mad Penguin they’ve taken a closer look at what KDE is trying to accomplish with the next generation of KDE, also known as Plasma. Not surprisingly they are aiming high and goal is to simplify the process of creating applications, bringing all steps and people involved closer to eachother, but of course also something as simple as a better looking desktop.
