SCSI harddrives are hardly in any kind of grand era at the moment, they are still extremely fast and durable and are used on the servermarket, but the enthusiasts that usually turned to SCSI harddrives are getting fewer and fewer. The reason for this is that the development of consumer harddrives has been rapidly improving, especially after the introduction of the SATA interface. At Digit-Life they’ve compared 11 different SCSI disks and thrown in a Western Digital Raptor, unfortunately only the old 74GB model.
