Det verkar som att Solid State Drive marknaden gått in i en ny fas sedan Intel släppte sina första alster. Intels SSD-enheter visade på riktigt fin prestanda med MLC-tekniken och det var få Solid State Drives som kunde hänga med i svängarna. Sedan dess har vi sett hur flera tillverkare jobbat på nya modeller och en av dem är Transcend. Man har nu nämligen lanserat en ny 2.5″ SSD enhet som utöver en stabil lagringskapacitet på 128GB har riktigt fina prestandaspecifikationer, 145MB/s resp. 92MB/s i läs och skrivhastigheter.
