Sapphire BLIZZARD RADEON X1900 XTX will be the first Radeon X1900 card sold with water cooling pre-installed and when we first heard of the card the frequencies was set according to ATI’s reference. You could as a user overclock the card with the help of Sapphire’s software, but when you pay great money for an enthusiast card such as this one the least you could ask for is that it’s performance had been tuned in the factory already. Now it seems that Sapphire agrees as it has announced that it will overclock its Blizzard cards from factory to really show what the cooling is capabe of and really make sure it will launch the fastest X1900 XTX card on the market.
From the deault frequnecies at 650MHz GPU and 1550MHz memory Sapphire will increase the frequencies to 675MHz/1600MHz. Not a spectacular increase, neither fillrate not memory bandwidth-wise, but surely enough to have the fastest card on the market. We are still waiting for information regarding the price of Sapphire’s beast, with mixed feelings though as it most likely will be quite expensive.
