Source: engadgetLaCie has been making external harddrives for a number of years now and thanks to the fact they offer external storage solutions with huge capacity it has managed to establish itself as one of the leading companies. They are often the first with the most capacity simply. This time it’s not the size that is the center of attention though, even if the physical dimensions are a bit larger than we are used to, but an extreme version on the other characteristics you think of when you hear LaCie: mobility. The new harddrive is namely encapsulated in scratch proof aluminum and shock-resistant rubber cover. It will be available in two sizes, 80 and 120GB, and will cost $169.99 and $329.99.
