NVIDIA was surprisingly open when we last heard them discuss its coming graphics circuit architecture Fermi. It said that the performance of its GPU would be enough to best AMD in every segment and that much of the current work is put into optimizing the drivers. Despite all that the latest rumors suggests that Fermi has been postponed again, up until March 2010.

The information, that has been neither confirmed or denied by NVIDIA, was leaked from partners and in the letter NVIDIA simply tells its partners that the official launch is not expected to happen until March and that Fermi-GF100 will be the first model to hit the market.

Would this be correct it gives rival AMD another three months to strut along unchallenged in the high-end segment and especially the DirectX 11 segment, a market that it will have complete coverage of next year with the launch of Cedar and Redwood for the entry level.
