Small preview imageThat many have been eager to install Windows XP on the new Intel based Mac systems is hardly a secret nor a surprise. Even if it is just because you can it is still a goal many have been working towards. So far no one has been able to crack Apple’s design based on the fact it has switched from BIOS to EFI (Extensible Firmware Interface). Some say that the mission is impossible while other say it can be done. Now there is an extra reason for those who are working on it to do so even harder. The person who manages to boot up Windows XP on an Intel based Mac will namely be able to collect (at the moment) more than 7000 dollar. The money have been gathered by Mac user Colin Nederkoorn.

What Colin is looking for is a dual boot machine running both Mac OS X and Windows XP, something that would help him a lot during his work. Considering he started by contributing 100$ we can surely say that he is far from the only one who is looking to run a machine with both OS X and WinXP.
