<a href=http//www.harman-multimedia.com/>Harman Cardon,</a> maker of sound systems you can find in the more expensive cars (and also some hi-fi components), made some speakers to be used with a pc/mac.

And they look special, if not weird. Both satellite and subwoofer are made fully out of plexiglass, the last one even resembles a jellyfish. Harman Cardon claims a frequency range between 44Hz - 20kHz. The speakers are usb driven, so you won't need a soundcard to operate them.

But hey, can you really test pc-audio equipment? (We do; e.g. <a href=http//www.nordichardware.com/reviews/audio/2003/itrigue3300/>this article</a>). A quote from their review

<i>"Because of the full range capability of the satellite speakers, the sound was more solid compared to other 2.1 systems I've tried before."</i>
