Small preview imageABIT Fatal1ty X800XL 512MB, a card which we have earlier reported on here at NH, was introduced by ABIT last month. Now information has started to spread and at Hexus.net they’ve done a preview of the card. ABIT Fatal1ty X800XL 512MB is without a doubt a unique card, even if it may look like any other ATi card, ABIT has developed this card from the foundation. It has among other things, its very own power supply system and the chips used are not available on other X800XL-cards in stores today. All this has been done to optimize the card’s overclocking potential.

The primary objective with Fatal1ty X800XL is precisely that, a card suppose to overclock as much as possible. The card has an optimized ”overclocking switch” on the back of the card. The switch can be reached outside the case and activated the card will directly jump to 420/550Mhz (stock at 400/500MHz). E.g probably as simple as it can be done. At the same time you can via μGuru increase both frequencies and voltage. ABIT Fatal1ty X800XL 512MB has a lot of goodies hidden beneath its quite plain exterior and at Hexus you can read about most of them.
