Other subjects are Microsoft’s new certiciation of drivers that will be introduced with Longhorn. It is suppose to make it easier for developers and stop those annoying popups that tells us that our drivers aren’t certified. They also have some interesting information on ”Home entertainment”, a.k.a. Media Center PC, HTPC and o forth. A market Microsoft has high hopes for and we can’t do much else than agree. ”One of the hot topics at this year’s WinHEC is Home Entertainment computers. There are more than fifteen presentations related to the concept of the PC as a media/home entertainment device. To hear Microsoft and others speak, this is the Next Big Thing (TM) in home computers.”WinHEC 2005 is a cnvention of the larger portion and is happening as you are reading this. We’ve earlier reported on several interesting news from WinHEC 2005 and at Anandtech they’ve written an article on what was exhibited and said during the second day of the convention. We also get a little more information on the new ”flash harddrives” as they’ve done a demo at WinHEC 2005.
