Small preview imageSony Ericsson P990 is the answer to all the rumours that have been going around about a new smartphone in Sony Ericsson’s P-series. The P-series already contains earlier popular phones such as P800, P900, P910 and considering how well these earlier phones have been greeted by both critics and consumers it is no surprise that SE has chosen to use this platform once again. P990 is the first model of the P-series that supports 3G and it has been tuned a lot compared to the earlier models. The camera is at 2Mpixel and there is of course a function for video calls. P990 has 80MB integrated memory and supports Sony’s Memory Stick Pro Duo for further storage.

Symbian OS 9.1 is used and the navigation is done on a 2.8″ LCD-display which is a touch screen which uses 262 000 colors. Sony Ericsson P990 looks like a worthy sequel to its youngers siblings and all we want know now is the price, which will be rather high we suspect.
