The Android platform is most of all intended for smartphones but as we have told you several times in the past several computer builders are going to use Android in netbooks. One of the first to realize this move is Chinese Skytone that designed the first Android netbook, Alpha 680. The computer sports a 533MHz ARM11 processor and turnable 7″ LCD monitor.

With only 128MB RAM and 1GB of SSD storage (up to 4GB) it’s easy to understand why the forgiving hardware specifications of Google’s Android platform appeals.

Actual pictures of a Skytone Alpha 680 netbook shown in China has appeared. The pictures reveal a netbook that justifies the price tag around $200. A simple design is toped with the turnable LCD that adds a nice touch.
