Small preview imageGigabyte continues to widen its series of dual-core graphic cards. By that we mean graphic cards that the card itself uses multiple graphic circuits. Gigabyte was first with its 6600GT-based dual-graphic card and since then we’ve seen ASUS follow in Gigabyte’s path with a similar model. We have at several occasions reported on ASUS next model that uses two GeForce 6800 Ultra circuits and and even if its been quiet on Gigabyte’s behalf it seems it has come further than ASUS with its 6800-based dual-graphic card.

Gigabyte GV-3D1-68GT namely looks a lot more ”ready” with a huge, but acceptable formfactor. According to unconfirmed information this 6800GT-card will be available in stores at the end of July or the beginning of August. The price should land somewhere around 10-15% lower than two seperate GeForce 6800GT cards. I.e. we should expect a price somewhere in the vicinity of $500-$600.
