Toshiba the leading party behind the new optical format HD DVD now says it will delay the launch of the next generation HD DVD-players. The plans were that Toshiba would launch the first players during 2005 and that way be the first, beating Blu-ray to it. But now it seems it will also have to wait until next year to launch its products, something you should consider a sign of weakness though according to Toshiba. It claims it is still 100% behind the HD DVD format as the next generation standard.
