Small preview imageOpera is one of the most popular browsers for PCs, but lately it has also started to spread to alternative platforms. Among others we’ve seen Sony Ericsson using Opera with its new mobile phones and now it is time for another mobile unit to take advantage of the features Opera has to offer; no less than Nintendo’s portable game console Nintendo DS. The mobile game console already has integrated WiFi support thus expanding the use of the connection is not entirely unexpected. Opera has developed a special version of it browser that works over both of Nintendo DS’ displays. So far it seems that it is aiming for the Japanese market at first, but it is most likely only a matter of time before it will spread to the rest of the world.

”In Opera’s agreement with Nintendo, Nintendo DS users will now be able to surf the full Internet from their systems using the Opera browser. The Opera browser for Nintendo DS will be sold as a DS card. Users simply insert the card into the Wi- Fi enabled Nintendo DS, connect to a network, and begin browsing on two screens.”
